Carl and Nickie held a wonderful Winter Wonderland themed wedding on the 2nd January at The Ramada Jarvis hotel in Guildford, Surrey. After all the snow we had had before and during Christmas, both Nickie and myself were betting on it being a snow day, but to our surprise we woke up to a lovely mild, bright day! (& Nickie literally jumping for joy that she would be able to have her photos taken outside!)
Whilst I covered bridal preps, Rhoddy went along to meet the lads at Jacks of London in Guildford to photograph their Cut-throat shave, he even managed to squeeze in a cheeky game on the playstation with Jack, Carl & Nickie’s son!
At 11am the men arrived at the hotel and continued getting ready, allowing Rhod and I time to photograph some of the other preps going on in the hotel, including the lovely team at Dragonfly Events styling the venue for the wedding breakfast. I really would recommend them if you’re getting married in or around Surrey, they were so much fun to work with and their attention to detail was incredible. (You’ll see more of their work in Part Two of the wedding post!)
We also had the pleasure of working with the lovely videographer, James from One-Take Media. He was great to work alongside, and we were bouncing ideas off of each other through out the day. Despite the small amount of space we both had during the ceremony, and a little feng shui-ing of the table/seating set up we managed to both get the shots we wanted without tripping over each others equipment!
